Boys ages 11-17, or those who have completed 5th grade or earned the Arrow of Light.

The troop is youth-led with guidance from trained adult volunteers including the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters.

No – we teach all skills from the ground up.

Scouts complete rank requirements, demonstrate skills and participate in Boards of Review.

• What uniform is required?

Class A uniform for meetings and formal events; Class B for outdoor activities.

Yes – Troop 3 participates in fundraisers to help offset costs.

• Where and when does the troop meet?

Weekly meetings at Hatboro Baptist Church, typically on Mondays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

• How often does the troop go camping?

Troop 3 camps monthly, year-round, plus Summer Camp and High-Adventure opportunities.

• What gear does my Scout need?

Basic personal gear (sleeping bag, backpack, uniform). The troop provides shared equipment like tents and cooking gear.

• Is camping required?

Camping is a core part of Scouting, but participation is flexible. Scouts advance at their own pace.

• How long does it take to reach Eagle Scout?

Most Scouts take several years. Progress depends on each Scout’s initiative and involvement.

• What does it cost to join?

Annual dues plus activity fees (campouts, summer camp). Financial assistance is available.

• How can parents get involved?

Attend meetings, help with transportation, volunteer as leaders, or join the committee. Help is always needed and appreciated.
